Sometimes life can be stressful, and facing these challenges can be overwhelming. UT Health Services provides a variety of Behavioral Health Services to assist you with support, problem-solving, and enhancing coping skills.
These services include: comprehensive assessment, medication management, mental health screening, counseling and psychotherapy.
We are also able to offer “transitional care” for patients being discharged from the hospital. Patients are seen within one week post-discharge and again within 30 days to assure they are continuing to feel well and have access to the resources they require. After the transitional care visit(s), patients can either continue care with our practice or be referred to the patient’s provider of choice, including their treating provider.

Contact UT Health Services at 713-500-3267 to make an appointment. Appointment availability should be within one week. Dr. Casarez is available for appointments on Tuesdays, 7am-11am; Ms. Agbasi is available on Thursdays, 7am-4pm. We accept most major insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Integrated Behavioral Health was established at UT Health Services to provide expert psychiatric treatment and evaluation within the setting of a primary care practice. We are focusing on care for patients 16 years and older for medication management and adults age 18 and older for counseling. Our providers are available to patients coping with mental illness or behavioral treatment for health issues such as obesity, diabetes, smoking, and medication compliance. We also provide coordination of care with a multidisciplinary, integrated approach.
